Reiki is a healing therapy that makes use of the channels of energy, or qi, in the body. It is based on the belief that physical and mental health issues are a result of impaired energy flow. By manipulating the flow of qi, the practitioner is able to improve the wellbeing and functioning of the targeted area.
Reiki was developed in Japan almost one hundred years ago. Since then, it has grown steadily as a practice. At HHC Centre, we use reiki to treat a wide variety of physical and mental health conditions, to ensure proper functioning of the immune system, and to promote overall health and wellbeing.
Reiki can provide a number of benefits, including the following:
At HHC Centre, we provide a relaxing environment for reiki sessions that may last up to sixty minutes. During the session, you will sit or lie comfortably while the practitioner places their hands lightly on or just above the targeted area, in several different positions and angles. The idea is for energy to flow from the practitioner’s hands into your body. When the flow of energy stops or slows sufficiently, the hand position is adjusted.
By the end of the session, your life energy will be flowing more efficiently, and you will have a stronger sense of wellbeing.
